December 2016

The study of our colleague Patty Oikawa evaluating greenhouse gas exchange models in restored wetlands has just been accepted in Journal of Geophysical Research – Biogeosciences. Congratulations!

The paper by our colleague Gavin McNicol “Effects of seasonality, transport-pathway, and spatial structure on wetland greenhouse gas fluxes” has been accepted in Global Change Biology. Congratulations!

November 2016

Iryna Dronova and Sophie Taddeo participated in the biennial Bay-Delta Science Conference in Sacramento, CA. Iryna gave a talk on the importance of wetland emergent vegetation as the indicator of post-restoration dynamics in the special session on the adaptive management in habitat restoration. Sophie presented two posters on the long-term changes in spatial structure of restored wetlands and field-based monitoring of restored freshwater sites. The latter research was performed in collaboration with undergraduate student Kelsey Therese and UC Berkeley’s SMART Mentoring program.

The paper on energy-saving potential of fragmented green spaces by Fanhua Kong, our collaborator from Nanjing University, China, is now published in Applied Energy

Iryna’s Faculty Feature is online in the College of Environmental Design’s  Frameworks publication
